We always need some inspiration.

Jazzland is a psychological horror game project inspired by many influences, developped with Adventure Game Studio. The idea here is to offer a narrative and emotional experience, play with atmosphere where each detail tell a story. Narrative and poetic aspect are most significant than action and gameplay. Jazzland's aims is to make you enjoy and wonder about the story and ask about yourself and your relation with all themes you can find and understand in the game.

If you got the ability to rewrite your proper story, would you do it? Regardless of all things you already have?

How far would you go to save a loved one? To lose your humanity?

Are you sure to be yourself?

Ray is an ordinary man, living in a calm appartement with Snow, a young cartoonist of a comic called "Jazzland." An imaginary world which takes place in a alternate New Orleans, populated by strange creatures and speaking animals. Despite of Snow's mental disturbance, they love each other and spend a quiet and wonderful life together. But nothing can last forever. After a long stay in hospital, Snow don't talk anymore to anyone, including Ray, and spends all his time in his room, drawing disturbing pictures and hiding below the bed when Ray trying to talk to him. One night, while Ray invited friends at home, a power cut immerse the apartment into darkness. Monsters are real and night bring them. Snow is missing.
In search of his lover, Ray will sink gradually into unreal, reality fading and giving path to the Unknown. To save Snow, he must delve into the depths of Jazzland. For save Snow from himself. To fight his own demons.
But indeed, I was influenced by many other horror games, often almost unknow, some really famous. Let me introduce you to some of them.
